How to use Word to PDF

  1. Choose your documents. Add up to 5 files, no larger than 5 MB each and 20 MB in total.
  2. Arrange and select the output. Drag the handles to reorder files, remove unwanted documents, and leave “Create separate PDF files” unchecked for one combined PDF. Check it for separate PDFs.
  3. Convert and download. Click Convert to PDF. The server checks your hourly allowance before files upload directly to PDFonFly. Save the PDFs when they are ready.

Conversion allowance and document handling

All Office converters share 2 sessions per hour per visitor IP. A session can contain several documents within the upload limits. If you reach the allowance, the page shows a retry time and no new upload begins. Image and browser-based PDF tools have their own processing rules.

Office documents are converted by PDFonFly, rather than locally in your browser. Keep this page open until conversion finishes and download results promptly. Password-protected documents are not supported. Refreshing starts a fresh browser session and does not restore previous results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I convert both DOC and DOCX files?
Yes. This page supports legacy DOC files and modern DOCX documents. Add either format and choose one combined PDF or separate PDFs.
How do I convert my documents to PDF?
Choose your files, drag the handles to arrange their order, select combined or separate output, and click Convert to PDF. Each file shows its upload progress. Download the PDFs when conversion finishes.
What are the file and batch limits?
You can add up to 5 documents, with a maximum of 5 MB per file and 20 MB for the whole session.
How many document conversions can I start?
You can create 2 Office conversion sessions per hour. The quota is shared across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenOffice and mixed Office pages and is checked before uploads begin. Anonymous visitors are counted by IP address, so a shared network may share the allowance.
What happens when I reach the hourly limit?
The page tells you how long to wait before trying again. No new session is created and no files are uploaded for a denied request. Refreshing or switching Office converters does not reset the allowance.
Are my documents converted in my browser?
No. Office documents upload directly to PDFonFly for conversion. RizCraft receives filenames, sizes and upload identifiers and caches conversion status and download links. Avoid uploading sensitive documents unless this processing is appropriate for your data.
Can I convert password-protected documents?
Password-protected documents are not supported. Remove the password in the original application and save an unprotected copy before converting.
What happens if I refresh the page?
Refreshing clears the active browser session and starts with an empty uploader. The previous result is not restored. A conversion already submitted to PDFonFly may continue, so keep this page open and save your PDFs before refreshing.
How long are PDF downloads available?
Download your PDFs promptly. PDFonFly hosts the generated files and their retention is not guaranteed. RizCraft keeps status metadata accessible for up to 24 hours, but refresh does not restore a previous browser session.
